Punjab Government has implemented various initiatives to combat the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, one of which is the introduction of innovative tools to equip its citizens in the ongoing battle against the virus.

Developed by Punjab IT Board (PITB), Rehbar stands as Punjab's inaugural voice chatbot, offering assistance to the province's 100 million inhabitants by providing up-to-date information on various government departments and services. Initially focusing solely on COVID-19 related inquiries, Rehbar is poised to evolve over time, ultimately addressing a wide array of common questions concerning government departments and services.

Rehbar functions by actively listening and responding to user queries, adeptly offering guidance, saving valuable time and resources without fatigue or disinterest. It is designed for user convenience, allowing individuals to effortlessly access information through spoken interaction. Powered by cutting-edge language technologies, Rehbar can comprehend speech and provide responses in Urdu. Additionally, imminent updates will equip Rehbar with contextual intelligence, furnishing users with the most pertinent information available.

The vision for Rehbar extends beyond its current role; it aims to become an indispensable resource for citizens, offering reliable information and recommendations during emergencies and routine service inquiries alike.
